Appreciation Night for Students and Faculty: Sharing Cultures through Recreation

Get a free ticket to a Bengals hockey game and enjoy a complimentary fajita bar and refreshments at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, in the Buffalo State College Sports Arena. The hospitality and tourism students at Buffalo State are collaborating with Journey's End Refugee Services Inc. to show appreciation for all the work that service-learning student volunteers have done with Journey's End and other community agencies. This service-learning project is supported by the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center, Journey's End Refugee Services, and the Buffalo State Hospitality and Tourism Department students. Improve Your Application for a $3,000 Faculty Teaching and Learning Fellowship

The Advisory Committee of Buffalo State's Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) and Academic Affairs announce two sequenced workshops to support applicants for three one-year, $3,000 faculty development fellowships promoting the scholarship of teaching and learning on campus. Session one, “Translating a Pedagogical Interest or Issue into a SOTL Study,” will be offered Wednesday, February 8, at 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 23, at 12:15 p.m. Session two, “Designing a SOTL Study that Meets the Fellowship Criteria,” will be offered Wednesday, February 15, at 3:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 2, at 12:15 p.m. All sessions will be in the Margaret Grant Lounge, Caudell Hall 115.
