In honor of Black History Month, Sodexho will be celebrating the wonderful traditions of Soul Food on Thursday, February 23, during the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Expect to find all your favorites including carved beef brisket, barbecued chicken, black-eyed peas with rice, glazed carrots, beans and greens with smoked turkey, corn bread, watermelon, macaroni and cheese, and peach cobbler.

Collections and Conservation Exhibit at the Buffalo Museum of Science

Please join us for the opening of Collections and Conservation at the Buffalo Museum of Science today, Thursday, February 16, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This exhibit features a variety of objects from the Buffalo Museum of Science's anthropology collection that have been treated by Buffalo State College Art Conservation graduate students and alumni. There will be works on display, photographs of work-in-progress, and examples of future conservation projects. For more information, please call the department at 878-3757.

The International Student Affairs Office is currently working on the ninth edition of the Directory of Faculty and Staff with International Qualifications. This well-known and unique publication, which has been in existence for more than 20 years, contains valuable information on the rich variety of international professional experiences, research projects, linguistic abilities, and publications of the members of Buffalo State College's faculty and staff. This directory has been used repeatedly over the years by various members of the Western New York community looking for contacts throughout the world.

Learn Important Lifesaving Skills

The Weigel Health Center, a training center for the American Heart Association, is offering free CPR training to faculty, staff, and students. Participants learn skills to perform CPR for adults, children, and infants. You'll learn how to operate the automated external defibrillators (AEDs) that are now on campus. You'll learn what to do if someone is choking. This certification is good for two years. Classes are scheduled on the following dates and times:
