Comedian Eric O'Shea at Buffalo State

"Hi. It's me, Eric! Can you come out and play?!?" On Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center North, the Graduate Association of Student Personnel Administrators (GASPA) will present comedian Eric O'Shea. This event is a fund-raiser to benefit the Robert A. Davis Scholarship Fund. O'Shea has appeared on NBC and VH1, and was twice nominated for the National College Comedian of the Year Award. He's a veteran performer of over 700 colleges and universities. Tickets are currently being sold at the Campbell Student Union and Rockwell Hall box offices, as well as at the Student Personnel Administration Office, Bacon Hall 214C.

Audio and Video Workshops Offered by Instructional Resources

Are you interested in using audio and video in your classes? Do your students need to create a video of their teaching? This workshop will demonstrate what you need to do to get quality audio and video in and out of the classroom. The workshop will be held in Bulger Communication Center 104. Children's Book Events - Spring 2006

The Barnes & Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore will host a series of children's book events. The events will include themed storytelling, crafts, refreshments, and prizes. “If You Give a Pig a Party,” Saturday, February 25; “Dr. Seuss Read Across America,” Saturday, March 4; and “Dora the Explorer,” Saturday, April 8. Careers with the US State Department

James Foley, former US Ambassador to Haiti, will present an information session on careers with the US State Department to the Buffalo State campus community on Thursday, February 23, 2005 at 5 pm in Butler Library 210.

Mr. Foley's presentation will include information about a wide variety of internships and career paths within the US State Deparment. He will also provide details about the upcoming US Foreign Service examination, scheduled to be held this spring.

CSTEP Sponsors UB Medical School Admissions Session

University College's CSTEP Program will be hosting Dr. David Milling from the UB School of Medicine Thursday, February 23, during Bengal Pause in Twin Rise 102. Dr. Milling will be presenting an overview of UB Medical School, its requirements and its admissions procedures. The session will be interactive, with ample opportunity for student questions. All students are welcome.
