EVERGREEN, the college’s initiative to improve its environmental relationships, is holding a presentation on “Environmental Sustainability” and Buffalo State's efforts to improve its environmental relationships on Tuesday, April 18, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Bulger Communication South. Guest speaker Charlotte Perry from Woodard and Curran, an environmental services consultant, will outline our past sustainability efforts and future goals. Refreshments will be served. Learn how to maximize one of the college's most flexible online communication tools. Attend training on Monday, March 20, at 9:00 a.m. or Tuesday, April 4, at 9:00 a.m. to learn how to use the college's bulletin board system. During training, you will navigate the bulletin board interface, set up a user account, learn how to post messages, and find out the process for establishing a bulletin board for your academic department or administrative office. The 27th annual Art Education Student Art Exhibition will hold its opening reception on Thursday, March 16, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Upton Gallery. The I Teach Art exhibition was juried by Holly Hughes, curator at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and is presented to you by members of the Buffalo State College Art Education Student Chapter of the New York State Art Teacher's Association and the National Art Education Association, as well as our graduate students in our museum studies courses. We invite the college community to join us Thursday evening to celebrate the opening of the exhibition.

Dr. Peg Redinbaugh, research plant molecular geneticist from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will be present "Protecting Corn from Virus Diseases" on Thursday, March 16, at 12:15 p.m. in Science Building 213. A reception will follow the talk. Redinbaugh is involved in monitoring global emergence of crop diseases and will be talking about some of this work.
The Buffalo State College Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential services to any employee seeking help with a personal or work-related problem. EAP coordinators are trained to provide information and referrals to appropriate service providers in the community for problems such as emotional stress, depression, financial or legal difficulties, alcoholism, drug abuse, or marital or domestic discord. Coordinators also provide information on local resources for issues such as child care, elder care, and legal and financial services.
