On Monday, February 6, at 7:00 p.m., the Newman Center at Buffalo State College presents the Newman Scholars' Forum, a volunteer partnership with local colleges and universities to engage in a dialogue between faith and culture. The topic of this panel discussion will be “Faith and Science,” featuring panelists Dr. Khalid Bibi, director of the Health and Human Performance Graduate Program, Canisius College, and founding president of the Universal School of Buffalo; Dr. Paul Johnson, professor of religious studies, ethics and science, D'Youville College; and Dr. J. B. Morganti, professor emeritus of psychology, Buffalo State College. The Newman Center is located at 1219 Elmwood Avenue (at the corner of Penhurst Place). Once again, we are excited to bring the third in the Scholars' Forum series to the campus community and to the community at large. All sessions are free of charge.

The presentation will define "Web 2.0" and demo many examples of Web 2.0 applications. Web 2.0 is what many are saying is the next phase of Web application architecture and Web services. Web 2.0 integrates new Web technologies such as RSS and Ajax with the social aspects of the Web. Web 2.0 tries to improve the overall user experience of the Web.
