The Office of International Student Affairs seeks the submission of articles, stories and poems for its annual Newsletter International. The publication seeks to strengthen the spirit of internationalism on the Buffalo State campus and give students, faculty and staff an opportunity to share experiences from their native lands. SEFA Parking Space Raffle

The drawing for the reserved parking space for this year‘s SEFA campaign will be held Wednesday, October 20. Employees who pledge any amount up to $25 will receive one raffle ticket. Three raffle tickets will be allotted for pledges of $26 ($1 per paycheck) to $51, and five tickets will be given for pledges of $52 or more. See the SEFA volunteer in your area for more information about the raffle, or call Finance and Management at ext. 4311. Raffle tickets must be returned to Cleveland Hall 505, along with completed pledge cards, by Tuesday, October 19.

STUDY ABROAD FAIR

On October 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Social Hall, the Office of International Education will sponsor its annual Study Abroad Fair. At this event students will be able to speak with representatives of overseas programs administered by Buffalo State and other SUNY campuses, find out how financial aid applies to study abroad, receive information on scholarships, and learn about internships and work abroad. Students will receive passports to be stamped at the various booths for entry in a prize drawing, including a $100 travel voucher.

Long Live Rock N‘ Roll Tour

Join Professor Chuck Mancuso, ‘66, for a trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, November 6, 2004. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. sharp from Cleveland Circle and return by 11 p.m. Dinner is on your own in the Flats, a mixed-use district with restaurants, entertainment, and more! The cost of $70 per person includes transportation, driver gratuity, admission, box lunch, and the priceless company of Chuck Mancuso. Students are welcome to attend at a special discounted rate of $60!

The Native American Student Organization and Students for Peace present the 2nd Annual Indigenous Peoples Celebration featuring "Celebrating Indigenous Culture" with Bill Crouse and Seneca dancers, Thursday, October 7, at the Union Quad, during Bengal Pause, 12:15-1:30 p.m., AND "Columbus Day: Undiscovered!" a panel discussion featuring Michael Niman and Alan Jamieson, Thursday, Oct. 7, at 7:00 p.m in Butler Library 210. N.A.S.O. and Students for Peace are USG-funded organizations. This is a USG-funded event.

Please reserve Tuesday, February 8, 2005, for the Sixth Faculty/Staff Scholarship and Creativity Celebration. Building on last year‘s successful poster session/discussion format, the event will give faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to share their scholarship and creative activities with the entire campus community.
