The Homecoming Food Drive, benefiting the Buffalo State Food Pantry, is Friday, October 1, noon to 2:30 p.m. Members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will canvass the campus for canned or non-perishable food donated by faculty and staff. To schedule a pickup, please contact Tom Koller at ext. 6514 or via e-mail at kollertc@buffalostate.edu. If you're not on campus that day but wish to contribute, contact Tom for a pickup day convenient to your schedule. And thanks to those who have registered for a pickup! There will be an open hearing tomorrow, sponsored by the College Senate Academic Plan Committee, regarding Version 2 of the Reorganization Plan for Buffalo State. The document can be found on: buffalostate.edu/president/news/ website. Provost Dennis Ponton will answer questions and take comments on the plan. The meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Bulger East at 12:30 pm. The Academic Plan Committee will be giving a report to the College Senate on October 15. Applications for the 2004-2005 Equity and Campus Diversity Mini-Grants are due October 15, 2004. Faculty, staff and/or student groups may apply for minigrants of up to $1500 to support programs related to the campus core value of respect for diversity and individual differences. The Paws to Roar, Homecoming 2004 steering committee is pleased to announce that the Academic Skills Center in South Wing has won the first Miniature Shopping Cart Float Competition held over the past two weeks and will receive lunch, delivered, for its employees. Second place went to Academic Advising and third place went to Intructional Resources. Don't forget, Homecoming / Parents Weekend is this week. Paws to Roar, Homecoming 2004 is this week! Thursday is the Pep Rally/USG BBQ during Bengal Pause, Union Quad. That night is King and Queen at Enters Theatre, 7 pm. Friday is the annual Food Drive to benefit the BSC Food Pantry. Friday night is the Parent-Student Dinner in the Social Hall, the Young Alumnus Achievement Award and comedian Dat Phan at Enters, 8 pm. Saturday features the Shopping Cart Float competition, parade, Tailgate Tent, Student Tailgate, football / soccer games and Athletics Hall of Fame.
