The Hearts for Haiti Committee is holding a basket raffle on Wednesday, April 14, from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall. All of the proceeds are being donated to the "Children of Haiti Project."

Exploring Open Content: Free Customizable Educational Content

People may hear about "open content" and come to the conclusion that these resources are "free as in beer"–unreliable and of poor quality. In reality, open content tends to be more "free as in kittens" where although the content might be free, we still have the responsibility to place it in context, interpret it, and gain knowledge from it.

The Native American Students Organization (NASO) hosts Percy Abrahms (Onondaga) for a presentation on Haudenosaunee linguistics as part of the 20th annual Native American Heritage Celebration month. The event will be held today, Thursday, April 8, during Bengal Pause in Bacon Hall 115. NASO is a USG-recognized student organization.

Using the Teaching Diverse Students Initiative (TDSI) Web site to effect change in teacher education: Patricia Clark and Eva Zygmunt-Fillwalk from Ball State University will conduct a distance learning presentation where they will share their experiences using TDSI tools to explore the issue of personal bias with teachers.
