From the Accounts Payable and Travel Services Office

Posted:

Recently, there has been some confusion concerning arrival and departure dates using Method 2 Reimbursement and Meal and Incidental Expense (M&IE) Per Diem breakdowns. The confusion stems from the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) website M&IE breakdown and current campus practices. What is important to note is that although GSA provides a breakdown that some state and federal agencies may use for their purposes, our campus is bound by travel policy set by the New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC). The OSC Travel Manual clearly states that only breakfast and/or dinner can be claimed by the traveler based upon departure and return times.

If you have any question concerning this policy, please contact our office at ext. 4117.

Are You Up for a Winterim Challenge?

Posted:

This year, the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center at Buffalo State College is challenging all faculty and staff members to help raise money for multiple sclerosis (MS) by participating in the Swim for MS Winterim Challenge!

We are challenging Buffalo State to help us raise $1,000 to help spread MS awareness.

  1. Join us in the Kissinger Pool on Tuesday, January 10, and Thursday, January 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The goal is to swim as many laps as possible. How many do you think we can do, as a community, in four hours? 500? 1,000? More?

  2. Share the link below with your family, friends, and colleagues. Ask them to pledge "per lap" or to donate a set amount. Or donate yourself...or both! Our goal is to raise $1,000. We know how generous the Buffalo State community is, so we know we can make our goal! Visit http://support.msassociation.org/goto/winterimchallenge to pledge.

Please feel free to swim any additional laps at any other pool you like! On Friday, January 13, e-mail how many laps you completed to vslc@buffalostate.edu. We will post the results on the website above.

  3. After the swim is completed, please ask your supporters to make their checks payable to MSAA. Mail donations to

MSAA Swim for MS
706 Haddonfield Rd.
Cherry Hill, NJ  08002

Please include a note that the checks are for the BSC - VSLC Winterim Swim for MS Challenge.

See you in the pool.

The campus community is invited to a reception for students in the printmaking classes of FAR 230, FAR 331, FAR 332, and FAR 333 on Wednesday, December 14, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the atrium of Rockwell Hall. On display will be woodcuts and etchings. All are invited!
