Faculty, staff, and student volunteers are needed for Buffalo State Community Service Day (CSD), April 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CSD is an oppportunity for students, faculty, and staff to work together with the wider community at various sites throughout the city of Buffalo to complete revitalization projects. Morning service projects are followed by lunch at Buffalo State. This year's projects include:

College Senate Elections Begin Today

Voting for the College Senate elections begins today, Monday, April 12, and continues until noon on Friday, April 16. All eligible voters were sent an elections letter announcing the elections for 2010. You can vote online via the electronic voting system. Please check with Slade Gellin, senate parliamentarian, if you have questions regarding e-voting. If you cannot use the e-voting system, you may request a paper ballot from the College Senate Office, ext. 5139.

All '80s Reunion

The Buffalo State Alumni Association would like to invite all faculty and staff to the first-ever, All '80s Reunion Weekend, April 30-May 2. The weekend is open to all graduates from 1980 to 1989. This reunion weekend includes a Welcome Home Reception on Friday evening in the Fireside Lounge; a reunion party at Mr. Goodbar on Saturday ($20 includes food, live music, and top shelf open bar from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m.), and a Farewell Brunch on Sunday at Cole's. Some tickets remain to see legendary founder of The Byrds and folk rock pioneer Roger McGuinn, Friday, April 23, at 8:00 p.m. Opening the show will be local songstress Maria Sebastian. Tickets are on sale now, with a discount for faculty and staff. ATMs May Be Temporarily Unavailable This Week

United Students Government plans to install a new digital information board in Campbell Student Union’s lower lobby. To accommodate this undertaking, one or more of the automated teller machines on the north wall of the lobby may be unavailable for up to 24 hours, from late afternoon on Thursday, April 15, to late afternoon on Friday, April 16.

This workshop invites you to consider a range of examples of this classic genre and then try your hand at this light but tightly focused poetic form. This page provides guidelines for those interested in costs associated with college equipment purchases. Approved requests to purchase hardware (e.g., computers, printers, peripherals) should be sent to CTSPurchasing@buffalostate.edu. Requests for computer software should be directed to the Computing Help Desk at 878-4357 (or chd@buffalostate.edu).
