Registration Continues for Commencement Volunteers and Marchers

Faculty and staff may continue to register online to march and volunteer for Commencement day, Saturday, May 15. Marchers and volunteers are needed for all ceremonies, with particular need for five additional volunteers for the 10:00 a.m. ceremony, 20 volunteers for the 2:00 p.m. ceremony, and 12 volunteers for the 6:00 p.m. ceremony. Please consider giving just a few hours of your time to support the Class of 2010 and help present a memorable ceremony for our graduates and their guests.

Cappella and Bard Receive Poss Award for Leadership in Higher Education

Buffalo State College professors and Project Flight co-directors Betty J. Cappella, Distinguished Service Professor, Educational Foundations Department, and Geraldine E. Bard, professor, English Department, are the 2010 recipients of the Bernice Poss Award. The award is presented annually by the Western New York Regional Committee of the Network for Women Leaders in Higher Education at their Leadership Conference.

The 11th annual Faculty/Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum will be held Thursday, October 28, in Houston Gym. The goal of this forum is to develop, encourage, and support Buffalo State faculty and staff research and creativity, and to make collaborative research endeavors and grantsmanship more accessible. This is an excellent opportunity to network with other Buffalo State faculty and staff and to identify common scholarly and creative interests that you may have.

CIT (Conference on Instructional Technology): Last Week for Early Registration
