Spend Mother's Day at the Burchfield Penney

A day out at the Burchfield Penney is a great way to spend Mother's Day. The museum is hosting three tours of Heat Waves in a Swamp: The Paintings of Charles Burchfield on Sunday, May 9. Our docent-led tour is at 1:30 p.m., a special Mother's Day tour with docent coordinator Mary Kozub is at 2:00 p.m., and a tour with the museum's archives manager Tullis Johnson is at 2:30 p.m.

The Buffalo State Alumni Association would like to invite all faculty and staff members to the first ever, All 80's Reunion Weekend April 30-May 2, 2010. The weekend is open to all graduates from 1980-1989. This reunion weekend includes a Welcome Home Reception on Friday evening in the Fireside Lounge; a reunion party at Mr. Goodbar on Saturday ($20 includes food, live music, and top shelf open bar from 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.), and a Farewell Brunch on Sunday at Cole's. Scholarship Gala Raises a Record $275,000

Buffalo State College’s 13th annual Foundation Scholarship Gala was celebrated on April 24, at the Connecticut Street Armory. Hosted by Interim President Dennis K. Ponton and co-chaired by Howard A. Zemsky and Louis P. Ciminelli, the gala was the single most successful fundraiser in the history of the college. A record $275,000 was raised, benefiting nearly 200 students in the All College Honors Program.
