They will find out how courses taken there fulfill requirements here, how financial aid applies, about scholarships that are available, and about other creative ways students fund their overseas experiences. Provost's Incentive Grants Now Available

Applications are now being accepted for the academic year 2008–2009 Provost’s Incentive Grants. Awards of up to $1,500 are available to tenured and tenure-track faculty members to assist with travel, purchase of materials, conference fees, and other support for scholarly, research, and creative activities.

Deadline Extended: Women's Studies Research Symposium

The Women's Studies Interdisciplinary Unit will host a Research Symposium featuring student, faculty, and staff work on Thursday, March 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 210. We seek papers, roundtable sessions, and poster presentations on women's and gender issues. Please submit a brief (200-500 word) description of your project; a list of other people with whom you have worked on this project; a resume or short CV; and a cover letter that explains both your topic and your commitment to the field of Women's Studies in HARD COPY to Jennifer Ryan, Women’s Studies Coordinator, Ketchum Hall 304.

Tell students: Seniors graduating in August 2009 who want to walk in the May graduation ceremony and have their name appear in the Commencement Program should apply now! The deadline to submit applications for August graduation and walk in May is Friday, February 20. Students who delay may not have their name printed in the Commencement Program.

The Career Development Center will host Job Fair 2009 on Thursday, March 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. This event is open to Buffalo State students and alumni from all majors and provides a great opportunity to meet with local, regional, and national employers about full-time, part-time, and summer employment as well as internship opportunities.
