Online Audio Seminar: Critical New Findings from the "Managing Online Education" Study

The 2009 National Survey of Online Education Programs provides national data on critical issues facing schools involved with eLearning. This survey is focused on the instructional, organizational, and technological operations of online programs across all levels of postsecondary institutions. Dr. Kenneth C. Green from The Campus Computing Project and Russell Poulin from WCET explain the freshly-compiled data in this audio seminar format on Thursday, October 29, 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Bulger 120. This seminar delivers benchmarking information to help distance learning and IT professionals compare their online programming with similar institutions in this category.

A Journey To and Through MD / PhD Training

The Women in Science and Mathematics Committee present Ms. Debbie Yen Dao from the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 12:15 in Classroom Building C-122. A member of the American Physician Scientists Association, Ms. Dao has completed the first 2 years of medical education and is in the fourth year of ongoing research. Upon completion of her thesis, she will transition to the third and fourth year medical clinical phases of training.

Emerging College Leaders Program Information Session Today

Attend an information session on Thursday, October 15, from 3-4 p.m. in E.H. Butler Library 208 to learn about the May 2010 Emerging College Leaders program for faculty and professional staff. The program dates are May 18,19,20 and 25,26,27, from 8:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m., with follow-up sessions in September and December.
