Advisement Enforcement Pilot Project Underway

A pilot project for enforcing the college advisement policy is underway for spring 2010. Students in participating programs who meet the advisement policy criteria will be required to obtain a special “Alternate PIN” from their adviser in order to register for spring 2010 classes in Banner.

Join Jennifer Hunt, Barish Ali, and Michael Cretacci for an interactive panel discussion on preventing and identifying plagiarism. On Friday, October 16, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Bacon 117 they will discuss advantages and disadvantages of: 1) teaching students what constitutes plagiarism; and, 2) using either search engines or TurnItIn software to identify instances of plagiarism. Bring your questions and your strategies to share with your colleagues.
