Masonry Restoration Investigation Enters Week Three

During the week of September 28, work to determine the scope of future masonry restoration projects will continue. During this third week of a month-long undertaking, workers will investigate Ketchum Hall, Rockwell Hall and Bacon Hall. The activity will involve high rise man lifts near the buildings. A weekly update will be provided. Questions or concerns may be referred to Campus Services at ext. 6111. For more information on campus construction, please visit the construction web site.

Homecoming / Family Weekend This Week!

There's something for everyone this week during "Unleash the Roar, Homecoming / Family Weekend 2009." The fun kicks off Thursday during Bengal Pause with the annual Pep Rally and USG Chicken BBQ in Perry Quad and continues Thursday night with the annual King and Queen competition at Rockwell Hall at 6:30. FREE tickets are available for Comedy Night at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell on Friday at 8:00 p.m.

Your BSC Bengal ID Card can now be used to conveniently make purchases at many locations on campus. Bengal Bucks is a separate account on your Bengal ID Card, and is accepted at all campus dining locations, beverage and snack vending machines, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and Butler Library for printing and photocopying.

To deposit funds into your Bengal Bucks account, use the Add Value Stations located in the Campbell Student Union, near the information desk, or in Butler Library. For more information, visit the Bengal Card Office in Butler Library Room 108, phone: 878-5152, or 878-5153.

Flu Facts and Practical Advice

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identified specific ways that people can best protect themselves and others from the spread of influenza. The most effective measures, other than getting a flu shot, are routine hand washing and ‘social distancing.’ While social distancing is often impractical as we all must share time with others at work or school, the cornerstone of prevention is effective hand washing.
