2009 Fall Forum: Call for Submissions

All faculty and staff are invited to organize an exhibit to present current research, creative activity, or other scholarship at the 10th annual Faculty and Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum. Individual, departmental, or group exhibits are welcome. The event will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 in the Houston Gym. The goal of this forum is to develop, encourage, and support Buffalo State College faculty and staff research and creativity, and to make collaborative research endeavors and grantsmanship more accessible.

Meet-n-Greek Welcome Back Picnic

The Philosophy and Humanities Department is hosting a welcome back picnic, "Meet N' Greek," Thursday, September 17, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the picnic area outside Bishop Hall (western/Porter Hall-facing side). The rain location is the Philosophy Student Lounge, Bishop Hall 242.  Refreshments and Greek treats will be served.

Masonry Restoration Investigation Begins Tuesday, September 15

Posted:

On Tuesday, September 15, work will begin to determine the scope of a future masonry restoration project. This work will involve high rise manlifts and rope access on seven campus buildings. The first week of work will involve the investigation of Twin Rise South Tower, Twin Rise Center, and Donald Savage Theater and Communication Building. This operation should take about four weeks. A weekly update will be provided.

Constitution Day Events

Buffalo State will celebrate Constitution Day on Thursday, September 17. Our Academic Convocation speaker, Dr. Gene Nichol, will address the campus regarding the significance of the Constitution in the Bonnie and Vern L. Bullough Academic Convocation Address. Nichol's speech will be followed by a campuswide forum in Bulger Communication Center East 2 at 3:00 p.m. on the topic of the charge of equal justice and the U.S. Constitution. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend both events.
