Faculty Workshop: Principles of Diversity into the Curriculum

This workshop, held Wednesday, November 11, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in E. H. Butler Library 210, will engage faculty in Logic Models developed by Dr. Renay Scales based on over thirty years of research in diversity and ethics. Dr. Scales teaches pragmatic skills and practices that help faculty infuse the principles and practices of diversity into the curriculum.

10th Annual Faculty/Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum

The 10th annual Faculty/Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum is planned for Thursday, October 29, to be held in the Houston Gym. Set up time is 9:00 a.m., presentations begin at 11:00 a.m., and will continue until 2:00 p.m. Interim president Dennis Ponton will offer welcoming remarks at 12:30 p.m. A buffet lunch will be provided for all participants and attendees. Faculty, staff, and students are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The global conversations are presented in conjunction with the Faculty/Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum. Academic Advising for Art Education Majors

Art Education majors are encouraged to sign up for advising which will take place October 26 through November 6. Students can make appointments with their faculty adviser on sign-up sheets in the hallway outside the Art Education Office, Bishop Hall 103. Any questions about advisement may be directed to the AED office at 878-4106. Undergraduate and graduate AED majors are encouraged to make appointments with their faculty advisers.

Buffalo State College Goes Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness

In response to Governor Paterson's proclamation of October as Domestic Violence Awareness (DV) Month, programs will be offered throughout the week of October 26 as part of "Buffalo State Goes Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness." Purple is a symbol of courage, survival, honor, and has come to symbolize the fight to end domestic violence.
