Sneakers Needed for the Asarese Center Youth

Posted:

The kids at the Asarese Youth Center on Rees Street, adjacent to the campus, need sneakers. Many of these youth are from struggling families, are newly arrived refugees, or are homeless. Sneakers in good condition are needed for boys and girls ages 12-18 in any size. Of course new sneakers would also be appreciated. Sneakers can be dropped off at the College and Community Partnership Office, the Alumni Office, or the Volunteer and Service Learning Office, all located in Cleveland Hall. This is an immediate need. Please note that we are also collecting warm clothing and toiletries to distribute to the Asarese Center families in December. Watch for more information on this in the Daily. The Asarese Center is supported through the Friends of Asarese, an active group of Buffalo State faculty and staff dedicated to bettering the center.

Internal Control SNAPS: Procedures Documentation

Posted:

Are you wondering how to get started on the process of documenting procedures for your area? Does it seem like too big a task? It helps to start at the beginning—determine the location where relevant materials will reside and inform those staff involved with the activity. Then, identify each person who plays a pivotal part in the process by their position title. Finally, specify what they do, in the order in which the activity occurs.
