Faculty may enter their summer 2008 grades using Banner. The grading window will open on Thursday, June 19, and will close on Wednesday, June 25. Warren Hoffman will be retiring from Buffalo State College on Friday, July 11, 2008, after 30 years of service in the Financial Aid Office. NYS-Ride is a benefit that allows New York State employees to save money on eligible public transportation expenses by paying for the costs on a pre-tax basis, through biweekly payroll deduction. Beginning July 2, 2008, you may take advantage of this pre-tax benefit by paying for your public transportation expenses, such as fares for buses, trains, and subways by enrolling in NYS-Ride.
The deadline to submit applications for the SUNY B-140W Tuition Assistance Program for summer 2008 is Friday, August 1. Staff members may apply for tuition assistance after six months of service; faculty members may apply after one semester of service.

Masonry demolition work associated with the Smart Classroom renovations in Ketchum Hall, first floor, will continue through Wednesday, June 18. Please announce to your students that the deadline for course withdrawals and pass/fail is today (June 12th) for Summer Session A and June 20th for Summer Session 1. The deadline for Leaves of Absence (other than Medical) and Withdrawal from College is June 19th for Summer Session A and July 3rd for Summer Session 1.
Please direct your students to the Registrar’s Office for the required paperwork to process these requests by their deadlines. Students who miss these deadlines and wish to petition for late withdrawals or pass/fails will need to have a documented extenuating circumstance for missing the deadline in order to have their academic appeal approved.
