Bookstore Now Hiring Temporary Positions for Book Rush

The bookstore is now hiring for our busy start of the semester, RUSH. We are looking to fill part-time temporary positions in customer service, cashier, textbooks, online order processing, and security. If you know of anyone interested, please have them call Lynn or Kathy at ext. 5509, or stop in the store to get an application. Employees receive a 35 percent discount on all store merchandise and 20 percent discount on textbooks, and it's a fun place to earn a little extra cash!

C-SPAN Brings its Road to the White House Tour to Historical Society on Saturday

Hop aboard the C-SPAN bus for free and learn how the station is covering one of the most exciting presidential campaigns in U.S. history, Saturday, August 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. While at the museum, visit the latest exhibit, Shaking Hands and Kissing Babies, a history of presidential campaigns from the mid-nineteenth through late-twentieth century. Museum admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children in August.

Summer 2008 Grading for Summer Sessions C and 2

As you have already seen in the Daily, Banner will go off-line at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, in preparation for cutover to Banner as the system of record. So, although the grading window for Sessions C and 2 will open on Thursday, August 7, at 8:00 a.m. it will close at 7:00 p.m. that day when Banner goes off-line. The window will reopen when Banner comes online on Monday, August 11, at 8:00 a.m. and remain open until 11:59 p.m. In preparation, faculty are still encouraged to logon to Banner before Thursday, August 7, and check to be sure that all of their courses are listed under their account.

Iroquois Drive to be Blocked at Elmwood Wednesday

To accommodate continuing work on the college’s electrical substation project, the Elmwood Avenue entrance to Iroquois Drive will be closed on Wednesday, August 6. All parking lots will be open as usual, but users, even for Lot X behind Rockwell Hall, will need to enter campus at Grant Street. As always, we thank you for your patience and understanding. Change in Banner Cutover Dates

Banner will be unavailable from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, through approximately 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, to complete the system of record cutover. Summer sessions 2 and C grades are due on Monday, August 11. The system will be available on that day for grade entry.
