Friday's First-Year Convocation marks the beginning of the first year here for Buffalo State's freshmen--indeed, the beginning of their college academic life with us. Please join in our welcome to this year's freshmen by coming to First-Year Convocation at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 22, in Rockwell Hall's Performing Arts Center. If you would like to march in the academic procession, call University College at ext. 5906 to reserve a seat, then report to the third floor of Rockwell at 3:00 p.m.

Mellon Professor in Conservation Science from the Art Conservation Department, will be an invited lecturer for the Rochester Section of the American Chemical Society's Chemistry and the Arts Lecture Series on Friday, August 22, at 7:00 p.m. He will present, "What's Wrong with this Picture: The Analysis of a Known Forgery" at the Nazareth College Arts Center in Pittsford, NY.
