Call for Nominations: Graduate Student Awards

Nominations for the President's Medal for Outstanding Graduate Student and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence are being sought. Students who best demonstrate the qualities recognized by each award and are completing graduate programs in December 2005, May 2006, or August 2006 are eligible for nomination. Candidates must be nominated by a graduate faculty member. Nomination guidelines and forms are available in the Graduate School office, Cleveland Hall 204. Nominations and supporting materials must be forwarded to the Graduate School, Cleveland Hall 204, by Friday, January 20, 2006.

Nominations for the President's Medal for Outstanding Undergraduate Student and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence are being sought. Only undergraduates graduating between June 2005 and May 2006 will be considered. Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

The Emergency Response Planning Group, part of the campuswide Emergency Preparedness Planning Committee, will present the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program. The CERT program consists of eight units and a final course review and disaster-simulation exercise. Units will be presented twice a month in three-hour intervals, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., in E. H. Butler Library 210. The first session, Disaster Preparedness, will be held on Wednesday, November 9. Refreshments will be served. Changes in Health Insurance Coverage and Voluntary Cancellation of Coverage

Today is the last day for employees to voluntarily cancel their health insurance coverage, voluntarily decline coverage for their dependents (change from family to individual coverage), or change their pre-tax status. If you wish to make any of these changes, please contact the Human Resource Management Office, Cleveland Hall 410 or ext. 4821, to complete the required form.
