The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium is proud to present a variety of planetarium programs this summer. Public programs are offered on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

"The Sun: Our Star and Other Solar Systems" and "Our Invisible Universe" are being presented now through July 21. From July 20 to August 18, you can learn about "The Lives and Deaths of Giant Stars," and then explore "Ancient Astronomical Sites" and "Constellations of the Zodiac" August 24–September 22.

Adult tickets for public programs are $6 each; discounted tickets for Buffalo State faculty and staff, senior citizens, those 18 and under, and non-Buffalo State students are $4. Our public planetarium programs remain free for Buffalo State students and active or retired military personnel.

As part of Buffalo State's ongoing efforts to address critical maintenance needs, a planned steam and hot water interruption will take place throughout the day on Thursday, June 28. The steam will be shut down by 1:00 a.m. on Thursday and will remain down for approximately 24 hours.

The procedure will interrupt hot water service to all buildings on campus. Program functions that specifically require hot water or steam are being individually contacted and accommodated. Heat should not be a concern because campus buildings do not usually require heat at this time of year.
