Payment requests that are submitted to the Accounts Payable and Travel Office must have the necessary documentation providing who, what, where, when, and why the payment is being requested. Any reimbursement should be substantiated by an original receipt showing proof of payment.

Yoga Begins Today

Lunchtime yoga class with Tara Laurenzi begins today. Classes are held for the next six weeks Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in HGYM 213. There is still room! If you have not already signed up but would like to join, bring the completed registration forms http://www.buffalostate.edu/schoolofeducation/documents/YogaProgramRegistrationDAILY.pdf and payment to today’s class or bring to Tamara in CAUD 114 before 11:30 am. Give yourself the gift of improved strength, flexibility, balance, and calmness. Tara will enable you to be more functional in your daily activities by teaching tools that you can easily apply outside class. All experience levels are welcome. The fee is $60 total. Hope you can join!

Project Flight Donates 3,104 Books to BPS School #3 to Honor Martin Luther King

For the sixth year, Project Flight, a Buffalo State College partner, together with the governor of NY, have made a major contribution to the Buffalo Public Schools by donating a large quantity of books to the Martin Luther King Literacy Initiative, a project created by Project Flight and the governor's office. This year, D'Youville Porter Campus School #3 was chosen by Project Flight as the recipient of the books. The books, valued at $27,358.16, were delivered by the box-load to the school.

5th Annual Toast to the City

Celebrate the Buffalo State Alumni Association's 5th Annual, "Toast to the City" wine tasting on Thursday, June 17 from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. on the steps of Rockwell Hall. This event will feature samples from Bordeaux Wine, Chateau Buffalo, Empire Merchants, Eveningside Vineyards, Friar's Table, Just Vino, Second Cup, Seneca Niagara Casino, Sodexho, Southern Wines, Sweet Tooth, Prime Wines, Tastings, and Yancey's Fancey.

FUNctional Yoga

Staff and faculty are invited to join a six-week lunchtime yoga class with Tara Laurenzi, registered yoga instructor and LMT, Thursdays, beginning May 27,  from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Houston Gym 213. Through postures (asana), breathing (pranyama), and relaxation, we will create an environment within the body to counter the effects of deskwork, computer use, long periods of sitting, and stress.
