Online Education Advisory Committee Open Meeting

The Online Education Advisory Committee will sponsor an all-campus meeting on Tuesday, November 16, during Bengal Pause in Classroom Building B118 to answer questions and discuss ideas about the online education development process. Another incentive will be offered for the spring semester. Details and rationale will be shared. Both new and experienced online instructors will be on hand to address questions and concerns about online teaching.

Tell Students: New Scholarships Available for Spring 2011 Study Abroad Programs

December 1 is the deadline to apply for scholarships that will provide $1,000 financial awards to three meritorious students participating in Buffalo State foreign study programs in spring 2011. Students must be currently matriculated at Buffalo State, have completed at least one semester here, and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Guidelines and applications for the scholarships may be requested by e-mailing intleduc@buffalostate.edu or stopping by South Wing 410. The scholarships are sponsored by International Graduate Programs for Educators.

Upstate New York Transplant Services Blood Drive

The Hospitality and Tourism Department in association with the Upstate New York Transplant Services is sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, November 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. Hospitality and Tourism students will be providing a "Sweets Table" during the event. All donors will receive a coupon for BRAVO Italian Restaurant. Walk-ins are welcome.

Asarese Youth Center Clothing Drive

Donations for the Asarese Youth Center are now being accepted for the annual clothing giveaway, which is December 4. Items should be taken directly to the Asarese Center on Rees Street. There is a great need for winter apparel, children's clothing, and shoes. The community center is open after 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; however it is advisable to call first at (716) 886-1040 before dropping items off.
