Maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress

Posted:

Buffalo State’s federal aid satisfactory academic progress policy has long stated that a student must maintain a 2.0 cum gpa (3.0 for graduate students) and successfully complete two thirds of the courses they attempt. However, the aid office has only been enforcing the completion rate portion of the policy. Effective with the close of fall 2008 both components of the policy will now be enforced. Students who had a gpa below 2.0 but had an eligible status will now be placed on probation.
