Open Forums to Discuss College Strategic Plan

The Senate Academic Plan Committee announces two open forums to facilitate discussion of the college's 2009-13 draft Strategic Plan. Dates and locations are Tuesday, February 3, during Bengal Pause (12:15–1:30 p.m.) in Bacon Hall 117, and Friday, February 6, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in E. H. Butler Library 210. No preregistration is necessary. The Academic Plan Committee seeks responses and recommendations from all members of the Buffalo State community, so as to generate the strongest and most transparent Strategic Plan possible. The most recent version of the plan is available at www.buffalostate.edu/strategicplanning.

Save the Date: Take Back the Night 2009

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Take Back the Night at Buffalo State College. Take Back The Night is an event dedicated to giving a voice back to survivors of sexual violence. Last year over 300 students, faculty, and staff attended this amazing event. This year's event will be held on Friday, April 24, 7:00–9:00 p.m., in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. A public meeting about the Richardson Olmsted Complex will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, at 6:00 p.m. in Rockwell Hall Auditorium. The Richardson Center Corporation will provide updates on such activities as master planning for the site, architecture and visitor center planning, stabilization, and a laser survey.
