Fall Undergraduate Open House (First of Two)

The Admissions Office will host the first of two Fall Open Houses for prospective students and their families on Saturday, September 29, from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Sports Arena. Refreshments will be served. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet with faculty and student support services, discuss financial aid options, and explore career opportunities. Save the Date: McNair Scholars Ice Cream Fundraiser at Cold Stone Creamery

The McNair Scholars Alumni Chapter invites faculty, staff, and students to stop by its scholarship fundraiser at the Cold Stone Creamery, 2674 Delaware Avenue, on Thursday, September 27, between 6:00 and 10:00 p.m. Cold Stone Creamery will donate 10 percent to 30 percent of the total ice cream sales to the David Matyjasik Scholarship Fund, named in honor of a McNair Scholar who tragically passed away in 2003. The Newman Center Offers Weekly Masses

Father Pat, director of Catholic Campus Ministry at the Newman Center, welcomes all Buffalo State students, faculty, and staff to join him for weekly Mass. Beginning this week and continuing throughout the semester, Mass will be celebrated on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. at the Newman Center Chapel, 1219 Elmwood Avenue, and on Fridays at 12:05 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 208. Times and locations for special holy day Masses will be scheduled and posted as they occur throughout the academic year.

Classroom Building Network Upgrade to Begin August 23

The network upgrades in Butler Library, Donald Savage Building, and Bacon Hall were completed this week. Work in Ketchum Hall and Rockwell Hall is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 23. Work will begin in the Classroom Building on Thursday and continue through Friday (August 23–24).
