Is Your Budget Balanced?

Posted:

New York State budget reform enacted this year has affected the way budgets and balances are managed for state agencies. Locally, this means department managers should strive to maintain positive balances in all budgetary categories, especially non-payroll categories and/or temporary staffing categories intended to be funded from departmental account resources. The College Budget Office will review accounts periodically to assist managers in maintaining positive balances and transact routine budget reallocations as may be deemed appropriate. Account managers are encouraged to be proactive in their review of account balances and initiate budget reallocation requests as needed. Please contact the Budget Office, ext. 4312, if you have any questions.
