The College and Community Partnerships Office has begun to strategically display a large poster in several buildings showing an example of one of our partnerships. Depicted on the first six posters are partnerships that represent Buffalo State College’s relationship with the nearby community and Western New York and even showcase partnerships across the world in Cambodia!

Flu shots will be given in the Campbell Student Union lobby on Thursday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

The Newman Center will present this semester's first Scholars Forum, a volunteer partnership with local colleges and universities to engage in a dialogue between faith and culture, on Monday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. The center is located at 1219 Elmwood Avenue, at the corner of Penhurst Place.

The Feminist Action Network, the Women's Studies Unit student group, will hold its first meeting this Monday, October 1, in Bacon Hall 205 at 3:00 p.m. We will distribute purple ribbons for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, plan upcoming events, and get to know one another.

Retirement Reception for Marcy Zulawski

After more than 40 years of service to the campus community, Marcy Zulawski of Computing and Technology Services has decided to "log off" and relax. A reception in Marcy's honor will be held on Wednesday, October 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Twin Rise Center, second floor. Please stop by to wish Marcy a happy retirement!

Do You Need Access to Banner?

Now that Banner is up and running, faculty and many staff members will need access to the system. How can you tell if you already have Banner access? Go to the Banner faculty and staff page and click on the link to look up your Banner ID at the top of the page. If you have a Banner ID, then you should have access to Banner – log in using the Self Service Banner link. Department chairs, deans and directors may request Banner access for new faculty and staff that are not yet in the system. Contact the Computing Help Desk (ext. 4357) to make this request.

Network Upgrades in Upton Hall, Chase Hall, and Bishop Hall

Campus network upgrades were completed in Caudell Hall last week. Work will continue in Upton Hall and Weigel Health Center, and will also include Chase and Bishop Halls during the week of September 24.
