Homecoming 2005 Kicks Off with Miniature Shopping Cart Float Competition

Posted:

Feel the Bengal Fire, Homecoming/Parents Weekend 2005, is just one month away, and here's your chance to get into the spirit by participating in the second annual Miniature Shopping Cart Float Competition. It's simple and fun! The first 12 offices to e-mail (kollertc@buffalostate.edu) or call (ext. 6514) Tom Koller's office will receive a miniature shopping cart. It's your job to decorate the cart in the Homecoming spirit. We'll be in offices on October 5 to judge the carts. The winning office receives lunch, and the top judged carts will be displayed in the Union bookcase two weeks prior to Homecoming. We “sold out” last year, so hurry and reply or call!

Peer Reviewed Articles EZ debuts on Butler Library Web Page

Posted:

Yes, we DO mean EZ, as in easy. No newspaper or magazine articles, either. Peer Reviewed Articles EZ is as an introductory source for quick retrieval of a few citations, many with full-text availability, from peer reviewed journals in many subject areas. Millions of full-text, online journal articles are one click away; thousands of others may be available full-text from the link called “Can I get this article online?” Developed by Butler Library and Ebsco Publishing exclusively for Buffalo State. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to use Peer Reviewed Articles EZ, but they’d benefit from it, too. Try it by clicking on “Peer Reviewed Articles EZ” directly under the “Find Articles” link on the library’s Web page. Tell your colleagues and your students about it! Send any comments and questions to Al Riess, electronic database librarian and interim college archivist, riessaf@buffalostate.edu, 878-6320. “Think smart … make the grade!” Use Peer Reviewed Articles EZ.
