Bengals Dare to Care Day: September 16

Posted:

President Katherine Conway-Turner will host Bengals Dare to Care Day on Saturday, September 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with lunch immediately following. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to volunteer for a morning of service in the community and demonstrate Buffalo State's commitment to community engagement. Over 30 projects have been identified and include sorting donations at a city homeless shelter, painting murals and community centers, and assisting in local community gardens. A full list of projects can be found on the Civic and Community Engagement website.

Sign up as a project volunteer, a registration volunteer, or a site coordinator. Site coordinators act as leaders for each project by signing students into the project, greeting and communicating with the community partner on the day of the event, keeping volunteers motivated and safe, facilitating a reflection discussion after the project is complete, and being a point of contact throughout the morning.
