Burchfield's Cafe Reopens at Burchfield Penney

Burchfield’s Café at the Burchfield Penney Art Center reopens Tuesday, June 6, under the management of restaurateurs Don Warfe, '80, and Pam Logue, the forces behind the iconic Bryant Street restaurant Just Pasta.

The café will feature “Beautiful Food”—fresh, healthful options inspired by the beautiful food presentation of Italy. Menu items will include homemade soups, sandwiches, and salads, as well as smoothies and specialty coffee drinks. Weekly and daily specials will also be available.

Burchfield’s Café is open during gallery hours. For more information, please call 878-6011.

Student Organization HOPE Haiti Fundraiser: Thank You

Students in the Buffalo State Rotaract Club, Nutrition Club, Phi Upsilon Omicron, and Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program would like to thank the campus for a very successful and fun-filled fundraiser to benefit HOPE Haiti on April 27. With the mighty power of the campus, $3,600 was raised for much-needed medical equipment.

Tell Students: Join Us for Stress Relief and Fun Before Exams - May 7

Best Buddies, the Bengals football team, and the Buffalo State Intercollegiate Athletics Department will present a Flag Football Showdown Game on Sunday, May 7, at Coyer field, a fun event to raise awareness of campus inclusion of students with disabilities. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. with game time at noon. All are welcome to come and play or watch. Bring your family or friends for an enjoyable afternoon. Food and water will be available. Donations to Best Buddies New York Friendship Walk will be accepted at the door. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: April 30

Join Buffalo State in supporting real change during the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes community event to raise awareness of sexual and domestic violence issues on Sunday, April 30, starting at Crisis Services, 2969 Main Street. Everyone plays an important role in preventing violence. Help spread the word, and join us if you like. To donate, please visit the Crisis Services website. Any contribution you are able to make is sincerely appreciated. Several small steps add up to create lasting change. Your contributions help fund the Advocate Program at Crisis Services, which provides initial and ongoing support 24 hours a day, seven days a week for those who have been affected by sexual or domestic violence.
