Faculty Workshop: 'Understanding Scholarly Impact' - November 8

Butler Library will offer a workshop for faculty members, "Understanding Scholarly Impact," on Wednesday, November 8, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Professional Development Center, Butler Library 181B. This session will provide a solid overview of scholarly impact to give you insight into this important field in academics. Wherever you are in your academic career, understanding scholarly impact can help you decide where to publish, help you see the impact of your publications, and help you explain the importance of scholarship to your students.

Graduate School Open House: October 7

The Graduate School will host its annual Open House on Saturday, October 7, from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Campbell Student Union. The Open House will allow students interested in further pursuing their education to learn about admission requirements and the application process, explore financial aid options, meet our faculty, and attend a student panel.

Tell Students: Part-Time-Job Luau Today

Aloha! The Career Development Center's Part-Time-Job Luau is today, August 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Quad (rain location: Student Union Social Hall).

More than 35 campus departments and local organizations will be in attendance, looking to hire Buffalo State students to fill their part-time job openings, as well as paid internships for fall 2017, spring 2018, and summer 2018. A list of the organizations attending is available on the CDC website under the Events tab. 

Please remind students about the luau and feel free to join us for the festivities.

Tell Students: Albright-Knox Student Semester Passes on Sale Now

Semester-long passes to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery for Buffalo State students are on sale now at the Rockwell Hall Box Office and the Student Union Box Office. The pass allows for unlimited visits to the gallery for the entire semester for only $10. The Rockwell Hall Box Office is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Student Union Box Office is open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
