Malnutrition Awareness Week September 24-28

Posted:

Please join us for a series of webinars to observe Malnutrition Awareness Week September 24–28. Every 60 seconds, 10 hospitalized patients go undiagnosed with malnutrition. Malnutrition has many negative impacts on patient outcomes—higher infection rates, poor wound healing, longer lengths of stay, higher frequency of readmission, and increased costs.

Malnutrition Awareness Week is a multiorganizational, multipronged campaign by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition designed to

• educate health-care professionals to identify and treat malnutrition earlier;
• encourage consumers and patients to discuss their nutritional status with health-care professionals;
• increase awareness of nutrition’s role on patient recovery.

The following webinars will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center 215.
