Human Resources Self-Service Module: Review Your Records for Accuracy

Posted:

Employees may update their personal and campus phone numbers, home address, and emergency contacts and view their legal name, demographics, and education information in SUNY System Administration’s Human Resources Self-Service Module. Please take a few minutes to review and update your phone numbers in the system, including cell, home, and office, as well as your emergency contacts.

Employees are encouraged to review their records annually to ensure that their information is accurate and up to date. Necessary changes may be completed or requested via the Self-Service Module. A user guide (PDF, 360 KB) is available to assist employees in accessing and using the Self-Service Module. Legal name changes may also be requested by completing a paper form. Campus directory updates may be requested using the paper or online Directory Add/Update Form. Departments with multiple directory edits for their staff members may email a list of changes to Human Resource Management.

Please contact Human Resource Management with questions.

Registrar's Office: Fall 2022 Registration, Drops, and Withdrawals

Posted:

When students decide they do not want a course for which they are scheduled, it is their responsibility (and very important) that they drop the course as soon as possible. Non-attendance in a class does not equate to a drop. If students no longer want a class, they must drop the course no later than 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, September 6. All add/drop and registration-related activity is done by the student directly in Banner. Failure to drop a course that a student is registered for but does not attend will result in a final grade of E.

Tell Students: Registrar's Office - Registration Tip: Complete Your Fall 2022 Registration by August 26

Posted:

Fall 2022 classes begin Monday, August 29. If students are waiting on a response from an instructor, they should contact the instructor now. If the instructor is not available, students should call the departmental office and ask if someone can assist them. A list of departments and phone numbers is available online.

If students are on a waitlist for a course, they should check the schedule to see if another section has seats available. It’s always a best practice to secure a seat in a course as soon as possible; students should not wait until the start of the semester.

Most registration questions can be answered on the Registrar's Office Registration web page.

Changes requiring instructor assistance should be completed no later than Friday, August 26. Registration ends at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, September 6. If students are attending a class that does not show on their Banner Student Detail Schedule, they must add the class as soon as possible, but no later than September 6.

If students decide they don't want a course, it is their responsibility (and very important) to drop the course as soon as possible. Non-attendance does not equate to a drop. If students no longer want a class, they must drop the course no later than September 6. Failure to drop a registered course that they don't attend will result in a final grade of E.

There are no drops after September 6. Starting September 7, students wishing to leave a class must withdraw online in Banner. September 6 is the last day to leave a class without financial penalty. Refund percentages, based on date of withdrawal, are available on the Student Accounts Refunds and Financial Liability web page.

Students may email the Registrar's Office or call (716) 878-4811 with questions.
