Tell Students: Veterans on Campus

Join the Johnetta R. Cole AMVETS Post 24 and the African American Veterans Arts and Culture Corporation in the Campbell Student Union lobby from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays March 21, April 11, April 18, May 2, and May 9.

The African American Veterans Arts and Culture Corporation honors African American veterans with tours, exhibits, and celebrations. The organization spearheaded the first annual parade in the nation to honor African American veterans for their service and sacrifices. The AAVACC is looking to expand its reach within the university community.

Spring 2023 Grading: Remember to Proof Your Submitted Grades in Banner

Faculty members, after you have completed (submitted and saved) your spring 2023 grades in Banner, please go back in to your roster and double-check that all grades are there as you intended.

If you must enter a “Last Date of Attendance” in Banner, please remember that you cannot enter a last date of attendance after the date of May 18, 2023, for the spring term.

Tell Students - Vote in Buffalo State Undergraduate Student Elections: March 13-16

Buffalo State University's undergraduate student elections begin today, March 13, and run through Thursday, March 16, in the Campbell Student Union lower lobby. Undergraduate students must show their Buffalo State ID or driver's license to vote. Polls are open March 13–15 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and March 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Election results will be posted on Bengal Connect by 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16.

Brightspace Basics: How to Request Help with Moving Your Course from Blackboard

Would you like to have help moving your courses from Blackboard to Brightspace? Faculty members can request migration of one section of each course they have taught using Blackboard Learn. For example, if you teach the same course in different semesters, please select one section to be migrated. You must complete one form for each course migration request.

Please use this Course Migration into Brightspace Request Form to have your course migrated for you.

Faculty members will have access to Blackboard through Monday, April 10.

Call for Applications: Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program

The Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program (USRF) supports full-time student research, scholarly, and creative activity each summer under the guidance of faculty mentors. The USRF program is open to all Buffalo State undergraduates with a graduation date of December 2023 or later. Each fellowship provides a student stipend of $3,000, a faculty stipend of $1,000, and $500 for travel, supplies, or equipment to support the project. New this year: students who do not live locally may be eligible for an on-campus housing award to facilitate participation in the summer research program.

The spring 2023 deadline for student submissions is Friday, April 7. Mentors have until Monday, April 10, to complete the application. To access the online application portal, please visit the USRF program page on the Undergraduate Research website.
