The SUNY Center for Professional Development is presenting a free webinar, Making Better Word Documents, on August 19 in CyberQuad 316 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Anyone who uses Word is welcome to attend—registration is not necessary.

The Buffalo State Sustainability Council (BSSC) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, August 19, at noon in E. H. Butler Library 210. Dedicated to promoting environmentally sound policies and practices for Buffalo State, the BSSC invites all members of the campus community to participate.

Faculty will enter their summer 2010 session C and 2 grades using Banner. The grading window will open Thursday, August 12, at 10:00 a.m. and close Thursday, August 19, at 10:00 a.m. In preparation, faculty are encouraged to logon to Banner to be sure that all of their courses are listed under their account. Detailed documentation for entering grades is available online. Additionally, assistance is available by calling the Computing Help Desk, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at ext. 4357. After last year's highly successful inaugural conference, the Anne Frank Project is proud to invite you, your students, friends, and family members to the 2010 conference. Scheduled for September 15–17, the conference continues to utilize the life and wisdom of Anne Frank as a springboard for the intense examination of genocide, intolerance, hatred, and bias through the multifaceted perspectives of the liberal arts.

Presented by the Buffalo State Coalition Building Team, a campus affiliate of the National Coalition Building Institute, this workshop will offer participants hands-on skills for creating inclusive workplace environments that celebrate our similarities and differences. Attendees will recognize the misinformation learned about other groups, and understand the impact of discrimination through telling stories.
