Update: Children of Haiti Project

In January 2010, Haiti was struck by an earthquake that caused considerable damage to the country. This campus responded with a series of educational programs including the Haiti Teach-In. Through a number of events, many campus organizations, and the Haiti Relief Committee, coordinated by Jean Gounard, Director of International Student Affairs, the campus raised more than $5,000 that was sent to support the development of a new school in Haiti, called the Children of Haiti Project.

Art in Craft Media Lecture at the Burchfield Penney Thursday

Tell Students: Manchester and Australia Information Session

Next Tuesday, October 5, at 12:15 p.m. in Bacon Hall 115, students can learn how to spend a semester studying at one of Buffalo State's four partner universities in Australia, or our partner university in England. They will find out how courses taken there fulfill requirements here, how financial aid applies, about scholarships that are available, and about other creative ways students fund their overseas experiences. Please encourage them not to miss these career-enhancing opportunities!

Degree Navigator Scheduled Maintenance

Degree Navigator will be down for scheduled maintenance from 6:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, until approximately 6:00 a.m. Friday, October 1. There will be no access to Degree Navigator during this time. This means advisers and students will need to pre-print their audit sheets if they are planning an advisement session during that period of time.

Workshops to Success: Accounting for Taste

Financial accounting can be a blizzard of numbers causing the most diligent of students to lose their way. Accounting for Taste is the next session in the Workshops to Success series sponsored by the Academic Skills Center of University College and offered free to Buffalo State students. Tutor Carol Reed will take you through the basics of accounting and make you more confident in dealing with this sometimes bewildering subject.

Vicky Arent Retirement Luncheon - Wednesday, Sept. 29

Vicky Arent, a keyboard specialist for 30 years at Buffalo State, and a member of the athletics staff for the past 23 years, will retire effective Sept. 30. A lunch will be held in Vicky’s honor on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 12:15 p.m. in the Bengal Room (on the upper level of the Sports Arena). Banner Scheduled Maintenance (down time)

Banner will be down for scheduled maintenance from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, until approximately 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13. There will be no access to Banner INB or SSB during this time. This means schedule changes cannot be entered by the Registrar's Office or by Academic Departments. It also means that students will not be able to search for classes, preview their time tickets or view holds.
