Global Outreach through Fulbright Programs

Any student, faculty or staff interested in the multiple possibilities offered by the Fulbright Program is welcome to attend the Spring Fulbright Seminar of the Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Fulbright Association that will be held at Niagara University on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Mr. Daniel Kolundzic, Academic Officer at the Consulate General of Canada in Buffalo.

The event is free and open to the public.

Campus Couriers Available

Please be advised that the Business Services Office has two campus couriers to help with the deliveries on campus. Campus couriers can be used to deliver letters and inter-campus mail from one location to another on campus. They do not deliver packages. Their hours are limited due to classes. The McNair Scholars Program will host an information and recruitment session on Thursday, October 21, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Science Building 250. The McNair Scholars Program helps prepare first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented Buffalo State students for graduate study. Students who participate in this program are provided with research opportunities and faculty mentors. Please inform any student you feel qualifies for this program. Social networks like Facebook and Twitter have become an integral part of everyday life. Love it or hate it, social networks play a key role in the way society and culture are shaped and formed. From reassessing our concept of personal privacy, to winning the 2008 Presidential Election, we will have an open discussion about these social networks and the impact they have in academia and society.
