Webinar-Unfounded Cases and False Reports: A Complex Problem

The webinar will be facilitated by Dr. Kim Lonsway, director of research at End Violence Against Women International. It will focus on unfounded cases and false reporting of sexual assault. These cases present complex questions for communities responding to sexual assault. Dr. Lonsway will not only examine questions of response but will also consider the consequences of unfounded cases and false reports and review best practice recommendations.

Mark Twain Live! Coming to Rockwell Hall

The Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall is pleased to present Mike Randall in Mark Twain Live! on Saturday, November 20, at 7:00 p.m. Mark Twain, America's greatest author and humorist is brought to life through the considerable talents of actor Mike Randall. Since 1972 this nationally-acclaimed one-man Mark Twain stage production has charmed audiences throughout the United States and Canada. The show bursts forth with all the wit and wisdom that was the trade-mark of the "Great Man Himself."

We will focus on the word processor software, spreadsheet, and briefly review presentations, forms, and drawing. Roscoe Mitchell Trio at the Burchfield Penney October 22

Hallwalls is pleased and excited to welcome the iconoclastic saxophonist/composer/multi-instrumentalist Roscoe Mitchell and his Trio (featuring Jaribu Shahid and Vincent Davis) for a week-long artist residency in which he will lead a 10-piece ensemble (featuring seven Buffalo musicians) through his varied compositions, culminating in a concert at the Burchfield Penney Art Center on Friday, October 22, at 8:00 p.m.

Small Grants to Support Research, Scholarly and Creative Activities

The Small Grants program provides up to $400 to assist students in carrying out their research and creative activities during the academic year; up to $600 may be requested for single projects involving 2 or more students. The award is designed to help defray the cost of travel, supplies, and other materials necessary to conduct the project. It is not intended as salary for the student.
