This workshop will review the tradition of tombstone memorials from classical antiquity through the range of English and American examples and then suggest patterns that you can follow or invert to create your own lasting statement to the world. Instructor-tutor Lauren Copeland will help you maximize your note-taking expertise by showing you the most effective approaches to this all-important skill for gathering information and making it easier to study what you’ve written.

Federal Health Care Reform and NYSHIP Coverage of Children to Age 26

As required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), effective January 1, 2011, the eligibility rules for covering dependents under the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP) will change to allow an enrollee’s child to continue coverage as an eligible dependent up to age 26.

Final Weekend of Theater Department's <em>Fuddy Meers</em>

Casting Hall Productions' presentation of the manic comedy Fuddy Meers continues this weekend, October 22–23, at Warren Enters Theatre in Upton Hall. The first play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, Fuddy Meers made its off-Broadway debut in 1999. Upon opening, the play quickly earned rave reviews and praise for its author as a "comic genius."

The 11th annual Faculty and Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum is scheduled for Thursday, October 28, in Houston Gym. The poster sessions will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with remarks from President Aaron Podolefsky at 12:30 p.m. A buffet lunch will be provided for all participants and attendees. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Online Learning Program for CSEA Employees

The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training is offering a new online learning, training, and career development opportunity. The partnership certificate programs for Microsoft Office 2007 consist of the Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. These certificate programs are for CSEA-represented NYS employees who wish to enhance their knowledge and improve their job skills in the Microsoft Office 2007 suite of applications.
