Required Information for Travel Documents

Posted:

Recently, our office has received travel authorizations and vouchers with inadequate descriptions for the purpose of travel. In an attempt to avoid processing delays, we are requesting that employees provide a brief statement, in the travel purpose section, which relates the travel to a college business purpose served by their attendance. Documentation pertaining to the meeting, conference, etc., which verifies the location, dates, and duration of the event; registration information showing the cost and what’s included in the fee; and hotel rates should be submitted with the travel forms.

Grading Students Who Never Attended Class

Posted:

If you have no record of a student on your grade roster attending your class you need to assign the student a grade but DO NOT enter a date in the last date attended field. Instead, leave the comment section blank and send the student’s name, ID and course section number to finaid@buffalostate.edu with the note "never attended".

Assigning Grades of I or N

Posted:

When assigning an I or N grade, you are required to indicate the student’s last date of attendance on the grading form. The last date of attendance is the last date you met with the student to discuss progress in the course. Doing so will potentially allow the student to retain a portion if not all of their aid for the term.
