Clothing Giveaway a Huge Success!

Saturday's clothing giveaway at the Asarese-Matters Youth Center (one block from Buffalo State on Rees Street) was a heartwarming success. Thanks to our wonderful on- and off-campus partners who donated generously to this effort, we were able to help more than 25 families (which equates to approximately 100 people), with the remaining clothing going to a charitable group on the West Side.

Learn to Use Endnote Citation Management Software

Posted:

Learn how to better manage citations of your research resources, export book and journal article citations from a database into Endnote, edit Endnote citations, and use the Endnote plug-in for MS Word to import citations directly into your document using any citation style you want. This session will introduce you to the Endnote citation management tool to create research bibliographies which you can use when writing papers or creating libraries of scholarly resources. Endnote is a real research and writing time saver!

Commencement Marchers and Ushers: Registration Deadline Is May 7

All commencement marchers, hooders, and volunteer ushers are asked to register online (www.buffalostate.edu/commencement/x543.xml) by Thursday, May 7. Ushers are still needed for the 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. ceremonies. Final confirmation notices will be sent via e-mail on Monday, May 11, to all marchers, hooders, and ushers.

EOP Celebrates 42nd Honors Convocation

This Thursday, May 7, at 3:30 p.m., the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) celebrates the exemplary academic performance of its students at the annual EOP Honors Convocation in Rockwell Hall. EOP invites the campus community to celebrate with us and enjoy the catered reception afterwards. Recognition is given to students who have obtained a 3.0 during the semester and/or cumulative GPA during the 2008 calendar year. Students requesting a letter grade for a pass/fail may obtain a Substitute for Pass/Fail Form from the Registrar's Office, Moot Hall 210. Approved forms must be returned to the Registrar's Office no later than Thursday, May 14, at 5:00 p.m.

Faculty Scholarship to CIT 2009 at SUNY Oswego

The Conference on Instructional Technologies (CIT) will provide one faculty scholarship, for registration fee only, to CIT 2009 at SUNY Oswego this May. The individual who accepts this scholarship must find funding for his/her hotel accommodations and travel.
