Search for Deputy Chief Announced

The University Police Department is conducting an internal search for the position of deputy chief of university police. The chair of the search committee, Scott Phillips, assistant professor, Criminal Justice, will be accepting applications until Friday, April 6. Please refer to the professional vacancy announcement on the Human Resource Management Web site.

Learn about the many educational resources of local historical and cultural organizations available to you during the Educators Open House Event (Archives Day) on Saturday, March 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Karpeles Museum, 220 North Street, Buffalo. We will have displays from over 20 local organizations as well as local historical novels and door prizes to give away!

Honoring 25-Year Employees

The luncheon honoring this year's employees celebrating their 25th year at Buffalo State College is being held at noon on Tuesday, April 10, at the Hyatt Regency. Reservations are required. Please print and return the reservation form (posted in the college Bulletin), indicating your meal choice, along with your payment to the President's Office, Cleveland Hall 517, by Tuesday, April 3.

University College Peer Mentor Program

University College is looking for motivated, well-rounded, energetic students to serve as peer mentors for the fall 2007 semester. Peer mentors will be placed in either a First-Year Seminar or BSC 101. Students must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and a desire to help new students acclimate to college life.
