FACT Scholarships to Attend SUNY CIT 2007

SUNY FACT (Faculty Access to Computing Technology) is offering a limited number of $100 scholarships toward the cost of registration for CIT 2007. These scholarships are available to SUNY faculty or professional staff involved in instruction or instructional support. First-time CIT participants are encouraged to apply! CIT 2007 is being held on the campus of SUNY Plattsburgh May 29 through June 1. For additional information, and to submit your Statement of Interest to be considered for a scholarship, visit the CIT Web site and select the "FACT Scholarship" link on the right.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger McGuinn Returns to Rockwell Hall

The Performing Arts Center proudly welcomes back legendary founder of The Byrds and folk rock pioneer Roger McGuinn on Friday, March 30, at 8:00 p.m. Opening the show will be local songstress Maria Sebastian. This concert is part of the Performing Arts Center’s Great Performers Series, presented by M&T Bank. Tickets are $25 for Buffalo State faculty and staff. Rush tickets are available for students. Onondaga Nation Storyteller Perry Ground Will Visit Buffalo State March 28

Perry Ground is a Turtle Clan member of the Onondaga Nation of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy. He has been telling stories for over 15 years as a means of educating people about the culture, beliefs, and history of the Haudenosaunee. Ground learned most of the stories he shares from the elders of various Native American communities and feels that practicing and perpetuating the oral traditions of Native people is an important responsibility.
