The Buffalo State College Employee Assistance Program is pleased to sponsor a Nutrition and Wellness Workshop, featuring nutrition therapist and consultant Mary Jo Parker, M.S., R.D., C.D.N., on Wednesday, May 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 210. The presentation is free and open to Buffalo State faculty and staff members.

Andrea Guiati, professor of modern and classical languages and director of the All College Honors Program, invites the Buffalo State College community to read his letter in which he expresses gratitude for the support and understanding expressed by friends and colleagues during the difficult time of the loss of his son, Stefano Moran-Guiati. Stefano was a lecturer in the Modern and Classical Languages Department. A Buffalo State memorial fund has been established in his honor.

The International Center for Studies in Creativity will host an "Expert to Expert" creativity conference at Buffalo State May 14–16. Keynote speaker David Magellan Horth will present "Ideas into Action: The Necessary Politics of Innovation." Many other workshop sessions will be offered as well.

Women in Science and Mathematics Present Dr. Mary A. Bisson

The Women in Science and Mathematics Speaker Series continues with Dr. Mary A. Bisson, the first woman full professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University at Buffalo, today, Tuesday, May 1, during Bengal Pause (12:15 p.m.) in Science Building 213. Bisson is active in furthering the roles of women in science. She will present research on acetylcholine in plants and discuss the role of women in science. This speaker series is sponsored by grants from the Equity and Campus Diversity Minigrant Program and the Natural and Social Sciences Dean's Office. All faculty and students are welcome and encouraged to attend. A reception will follow.
