EOP 40th Anniversary Honors Convocation Thursday

Posted:

The Educational Opportunity Program celebrates its 40th anniversary during the program's Honors Convocation in Rockwell Hall this Thursday, May 3, at 3:30 p.m. The staff and students of EOP invite the campus community to attend the program and catered reception to follow, featuring the William Murphy Trio. Unique features of this year's program include a video of alumni testimonials, the attendance of six former directors, and an appearance by radio diva and Distinguished Alumnus awardee Shaila of NYC's KISS 98.7. Central to the convocation is the presentation of special awards to students, staff, and faculty. Recognition is given to students who have obtained a 3.0 semester and/or cumulative GPA during the 2006 calendar year. Seniors graduating with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA receive recognition on stage along with a commemorative gift. This year's theme is "Destiny is not a matter of chance—it is a matter of choice." Please join us as we celebrate 40 years of student success. For additional information or questions, contact Lily Bink at ext. 4224.
