SEFA/United Way Campaign Hits 20 Percent

Buffalo State has achieved 20 percent of its goal, and the campaign is now half over—time to pick up the pace! By now your solicitor should have contacted you with a pledge form. If you have not been contacted, please call us at ext. 6314 or stop by our "campaign headquarters" in E. H. Butler Library 134 and we'll give you the forms to make a pledge and participate in the United Way Challenge. You will also have a chance to win your own Buffalo State parking place for a year. Puerto Rico Information Session

An information session on the Puerto Rico study tour will be held on Thursday, October 5, at 12:15 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center South. Students can learn how they may earn 6 credits in a program that includes academic work during the spring semester and travel in Puerto Rico May 22–June 13. Spanish is not required.

Faculty and Professional Staff Emerging College Leaders Program

Faculty and professional staff are invited to attend an information session on April 4 from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 208 and apply to participate in the new Emerging College Leaders Program. The information session will explain the program design, participant time commitment, and application process. This program is an opportunity for 12 to 15 full-time faculty and professional staff members to engage in individual leadership development through leadership assessments, workshops, and development plans. Program dates are May 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with follow-up sessions in September and January. Applications will be available at the information session and are due April 17. If you are interested and unable to attend, call Marie Mance, ext. 3841.

The second annual Greater Western New York Law School Fair will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott. This event is sponsored by the Career Development Center and the Western New York Association of College Career Centers. NIA is responsible for assisting hundreds of students through the transition to Buffalo State College from high school or their transfer school.
